A Naturopathic Doctor Near Edina Who Reads Your Labs Closely
You keep your lab results, read up on your cholesterol, and maybe track your sleep. What you haven't had is a doctor with time to go through it all with you. In downtown Hopkins, a short drive from Edina, Drs. Haley and Jacob Panka read your labs through a functional lens and follow how they move over time.
If you're looking for a naturopathic doctor near Edina, Panka Natural Health is a family-owned clinic in downtown Hopkins, about 10 to 15 minutes from 50th & France or Southdale. Drs. Haley and Jacob Panka take a functional medicine approach: two-hour adult first visits, labs read for trends over time, and the same two doctors every visit, with messaging included. Telehealth covers Minnesota and Wisconsin.
How we approach this at Panka
Before we order anything new, we read what you already have: labs, imaging, records, and the medications and supplements you take. Your first adult visit runs two full hours, and we line up your results across the years so a value that's slowly drifting is easier to spot while it's still in range. Dr. Jacob Panka, ND, MS, focuses on cardiovascular and metabolic health, brain and neuroendocrine health (fatigue, focus, and stress), and men's health. Dr. Haley Panka, ND, focuses on women's health and hormones, pediatrics, holistic diabetes care, and healthy aging. Messaging with your doctor through the Charm portal is included, with no membership.
Your home readings, read with your labs
Maybe you check your blood pressure most mornings, wear a glucose sensor, or let a watch track your sleep. That's a lot of data, and an app can't tell you what it means for you. Bring it in. We read your home readings next to your history, your medications, and your lab results. We also ask how you took them: what time of day, how often, and on which device. A few high readings after a rough night tell a different story than a steady climb over months. You'll leave knowing which patterns are worth acting on, what to keep tracking, and what you can stop logging.
What a naturopathic doctor near Edina does with results you already have
Maybe you have results from a wellness lab service, a home kit, or a recent physical. Bring all of it. We read outside results alongside your history and tell you plainly which findings matter, which are worth repeating, and which you can stop worrying about. A home kit gives you numbers. A visit adds your history, your symptoms, and a plan. If new testing would help, your other providers may be able to order some tests through insurance, or you can pay cash for testing through us. You'll know the cost before we order.
Heart and metabolic health with Dr. Jacob
Maybe your cholesterol, blood pressure, or blood sugar has been flagged, or heart disease or diabetes runs in your family. Dr. Jacob looks at the whole heart and blood sugar picture, which can include an advanced cholesterol test that measures the particles carrying cholesterol (a lipoprotein particle profile), blood sugar and inflammation markers, and the home readings you already log. Plans start with food: vegetables, fruits, whole grains, beans, and nuts, with supplements or botanicals added only where the evidence supports them. Minnesota naturopathic doctors don't prescribe medications such as statins. If you take one, we coordinate with your prescribing clinician and never ask you to stop or change it on your own.
Hormones and family care with Dr. Haley
Dr. Haley works with women through every stage: irregular or painful cycles, polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS, previously known as PCOS), thyroid concerns, and perimenopause. If you track your cycle in an app, bring it. Hormone testing, from thyroid panels with antibodies to menstrual cycle mapping, is chosen for your symptoms instead of run the same for everyone. She also cares for children from infancy through age 21, at reduced pricing; pediatric visits are shorter and can be extended. The same two doctors get to know your whole family over the years.

Common questions
Do you have an office in Edina?
No. We're in downtown Hopkins at 901 1st Street North, Suite 901A, roughly 10 to 15 minutes from 50th & France or Southdale. Take Vernon Avenue to Highway 169, Highway 100 to Excelsior Boulevard, or the Crosstown (Highway 62). There's plenty of parking in front of and behind the building. The entrance has four steps with handrails plus a small step, so the office isn't wheelchair accessible. Virtual visits are the alternative.
Can I message you between visits?
Yes. Messaging with your doctor through the Charm portal is included, with no membership. Quick questions are part of your care. If a message turns into clinical work, such as reviewing a new set of results or starting a new treatment, it's billed as a review.
Do you take insurance?
We're direct-pay and out-of-network with all insurers. We provide a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement and accept HSA and FSA cards. Medicare and Medicaid don't reimburse naturopathic services in Minnesota. There's no membership; current fees are on our scheduling page.
Can I see you by telehealth from Edina?
Yes. Virtual visits are available anywhere in Minnesota or Wisconsin, as long as you're physically in one of those states during the visit.
