A Wisconsin Naturopath by Video, Without the Long Drive

Maybe the closest naturopathic doctor is a long drive away, or the visits you've had felt too short to cover everything. Drs. Haley and Jacob Panka are licensed naturopathic doctors in Wisconsin. We see Wisconsin patients by secure video, with the same two-hour first visit we offer in our Hopkins, Minnesota office.

How we approach this at Panka

Your care starts before the video call. You complete the new patient questionnaire in Charm, our secure patient portal, and upload recent labs, imaging reports, and your medication list. Your doctor reads them before you meet. Adult first visits run two full hours by video. Dr. Haley focuses on women's health and hormones, pediatrics, holistic diabetes care, and healthy aging. Dr. Jacob focuses on fatigue, focus, and stress, cardiovascular and metabolic health, gut–brain health, and men's health. Either way, we map how your sleep, digestion, energy, stress, and labs connect, and you leave with a written plan. Between visits, you message your doctor through Charm, with no membership. Real doctors. Real science. Real time with you.

How a video visit with a Wisconsin naturopath works

Book a virtual visit on the scheduling page. Within 24 to 48 hours on business days, Charm emails you to set up your account, sign consent forms, and share records. On visit day, open the link in your confirmation email and select "Ask to Join." Your doctor admits you when it's time. Visits run on HIPAA-compliant video. Choose a private, quiet place where you can speak freely, with your camera and sound on. If you'll be outside Wisconsin or Minnesota that day, tell us in advance. If you haven't joined within 15 minutes, your doctor will call you.

What works by video, and what doesn't

Most naturopathic care works well on video: your full history, a review of past labs and records, nutrition and lifestyle planning, checking supplements and medications for interactions, and follow-up. A hands-on physical exam doesn't translate. We can't listen to your heart, press on your abdomen, or look closely at a rash. When an exam would change your care, we'll say so and help you get one, from your Wisconsin primary care clinician or in person in Hopkins. We encourage every patient to keep a primary care physician. If you take prescription medications, we coordinate with the clinician who prescribes them.

Labs and supplements from Wisconsin

We start with the labs you already have, so you're not paying to repeat work. If new testing would add to the picture, your doctor explains why, and you'll know the cost before anything is ordered. Your other providers may be able to order some tests through insurance, or you can pay cash for testing through us. We'll go over where your sample would be collected before you decide. We read results through a functional lens, marker by marker: where each value sits in the range, how markers relate, and how they change over time. Supplements can be ordered through our online Fullscript medicinary and shipped to you. You're never required to buy from us.

Naturopath licensing in Wisconsin, and where we're based

Wisconsin licenses naturopathic doctors. A state board, the Naturopathic Medicine Examining Board, oversees that license under Chapter 466 of state law. You can check any Wisconsin naturopathic doctor's credential through the state's public LicensE lookup. Drs. Haley and Jacob Panka hold Wisconsin licenses and are registered in Minnesota under Statute 147E. In Wisconsin, we offer virtual consultations only, whether you're in Hudson, River Falls, Eau Claire, La Crosse, Madison, or somewhere in between. We have no Wisconsin office. Our only office is in downtown Hopkins, and we've been a family-owned practice since 2018. Whether you come in or log on, you see the same two doctors at every visit.

This visit may fit if…

  • You're in Wisconsin and want a naturopathic doctor without a long drive.

  • You want two full hours to tell your whole story and a written plan at the end.

  • You'd like your labs explained marker by marker, not just labeled normal.

See someone else first if…

  • Chest pain, trouble breathing, stroke signs, or any emergency: call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

  • Thoughts of harming yourself or a mental health crisis: call or text 988, or call 911.

  • Something sudden that needs same-day care or a hands-on exam, like high fever or severe belly pain: see urgent care or your primary care clinician.

  • Outside Minnesota and Wisconsin at visit time: find a naturopathic doctor licensed where you'll be.

Bring a clearer picture to your visit

  • Labs from the last year, imaging reports, and specialist notes, uploaded and shared in Charm or faxed to our clinic at 612-568-9020.

  • Your supplement and medication bottles within reach, or photos of the labels.

  • A private, quiet spot with a steady connection.

  • Your top two or three goals and when your symptoms started.

Common questions

Do you take insurance for Wisconsin patients?

We're a direct-pay practice and out-of-network with all insurers. We provide a superbill you can submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement, though it isn't guaranteed. HSA and FSA cards are accepted. Medicare and Medicaid will not reimburse our services. Current fees are on the scheduling page.

Do I have to live in Wisconsin?

No. What counts is where you are physically during each visit, not where you live: Wisconsin or Minnesota. If you'll be traveling, contact us beforehand.

Can I come to the office instead?

Yes. We're at 901 1st Street North, Suite 901A, in downtown Hopkins, Minnesota. The entrance is up four steps with handrails, plus a small step at the building door, and the office is not wheelchair accessible. If stairs are a barrier, contact us before scheduling; video visits work well.

Can I talk with a doctor before booking?

Yes. The free 10-minute intro call is a phone conversation with one of our doctors to ask questions and see if we're a good fit. It isn't a medical visit.

Real doctors. Real time with you.

Panka Natural Health is a family-owned clinic in downtown Hopkins, led by Drs. Haley and Jacob Panka since 2018. You see the same doctor at every visit.
